I have been fortunate to be able to afford brand new cars , since passing my test back in 1985 , I am 56 now and was getting 2/ 3 new cars through the 90ies and the 00,oes from ford's vw Mercedes, phaeton vauxhall, seats,citroens ,kias, r,s mitsubishi and a lot more,, I liked factory ordering cars ,as you new they were built for you. Special colours or interiors down to a fitted option .. I always went back to same dealer even salesman if I fancied going.back to a marque that were selling a specific car I wanted.. The latest car I collect on tue 31st Oct 23 was either a vw touran allspace elegance or a peaugeot 5008 gt but I wanted the new 2024 model . First dealer I went to was.Lookers vw Preston , I've had a few cars from them over the yrs , but when I walked in.a sales.person came over said my name and time to change , said what I wanted to look at , not got any in. She showed me what they were carrying in stock , but I was being hard by sticking to a elegance 8speed.auto in matelic comet grey with full led matrix lights unit front and back, I was told factory order and a lot of items were optional extras , I took it for 10mins and left. Next place was just down Blackpool road preston, robryns & day Peugeot, got out of car ,went into show room and it felt different as a dealership ,we looked around show room for about 10 minutes upon a man came over and offered us a drink , cane back with the drinks requested and said his name was.Tim and pointed out were his desk was ,saying come over when you need help or a further drink., all cars are unlocked. Said to my partner I have never had that before , being treated nice like he just treated me /. Us.. We went over to Tim's desk and he formally introduced himself and a younger lady that had only joined the company and he was training her ,if we had objects if she stayed and sat in . We all.have to learn how to do a job.. I said to Tim what I wanted , and knew there was a new face lifted model due for late Feb 2024 ,yes he could do it even down to transferring of my private registration. While I was doing the paperwork the younger trainee was showing my Mrs around the 5008 gt they had in the showroom. The order was placed for exactly what I wanted with payment on collection.. I would fully recommend Tim from Peugeot Preston as he did go a step further then any other salesman than any I've bought cars off in my driving Years , even down to collection, the hand over was a pleasurable experience as TIM did go through everything regarding paperwork and showed us how everything worked in the car . It was nice to see the trainee again and hearing that she is now sell cars herself .. I do hope the dealer respects what a good , loyal , salesman in Tim as I feel confident in recommend him to my friends.. Arrived at garage mid morning was quickly booked in and told I would receive a call when the car was ready. Received a healthcheck video after 45 minutes and call around 1 to say that car was ready for pickup. Staff very friendly yet still professional. Can't fault the service I received.
